Storyline

It's the day of the big baseball game between the Drips and the Droops and Woody Woodpecker is trying to crash the gate and get in without paying for a ticket. A policeman keeps tossing him out but Woody puts on a baseball uniform---including a baseball-cap, since baseball players do not wear hats---gets inside and soon gets involved with the game. He ends up pinned to the scoreboard by a deluge of baseballs thrown by everybody in the ballpark. Written by Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>

Wood goes crazy in the ballpark.
18 May 2008 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

The game of baseball would not be the same, thanks to that lovable red-headed nut - Woody Woodpecker in one of my favorite shorts with the early version of Woody. In this short, two baseball teams the Droops and the Drips were playing on the diamond. And Woody wants to see the game, but a police officer threw him out. Then he figures out a way to get in, and things are going to get a little crazy in the ballpark.

I love the part when Woody shook a soda bottle and hands it the police officer. "Have some Pop, Cop" And then...*SSSSSSLUSH* the officer got sprayed; Woody remarked "No stopper, Copper." And then cue the famous "Woody-laugh." Well anyway, I like this cartoon, and I give it a 9 out of 10 for one funny scene.
