Pink Campaign is not one of the best Pink Panther cartoons but it's not among the worst either, ranking the ones seen so far it'd be somewhere in the middle. There were a few things that for me didn't quite work. The animation has been much better before, the animation in the Pink Panther cartoons was always minimal but because of the colours and such it was in an appealing way. Here the animation is rather rushed-looking, like in Bobolink Pink(which was a very good cartoon otherwise) the colours are flat and variety-limited and the drawing style does look as though it was done in haste. There are better-paced Pink Panther cartoons too, don't get me wrong Pink Campaign is not dull as such but it does lack energy in spots. The story is a good idea and is used to good effect, but some of it is a little formulaic(you are no stranger to the characters-trying-to-outwit-the-other idea). The music is as catchy and slinky as ever, always have loved the orchestration and the pace of it, while the theme tune is still a timeless classic that is unlikely to change. Pink Campaign is a funny cartoon, with gags that are executed well and none are less than amusing, the door gag is a touch repetitive but not to the extent that it tires you out and there is enough variety in it that makes it still interesting. They are not rushed nor do they feel too drawn out. Pinky is still funny and cool and although he is not very nice in this cartoon he still has a likable charm. But the pointy-nosed guy does have more to do and he is the guy that you do root for more, by the middle of the cartoon you actually do feel sorry for them despite hating him at the start. All in all, decent Pink Panther cartoon that is neither among the best or worst of the series. 7/10 Bethany Cox
