A Little Roughage
Kiko the Kangaroo gets a egg from Australia. It immediately hatches into a baby ostrich, who proceeds to swallow everything it can and occasionally can't. Is there dynamite? Need you ask that about this decent Terrytoon?
A few seconds of the beginning look like they were done by Frank Moser before they were handed to credited co-directors Mannie Davis and George Gordon. A month later, Moser received his last credit in the animation industry. Could this cartoon have marked the break between the two men who had founded Terrytoons in 1929?
In any case, this is a well-executed but not particularly innovative cartoon. If you enjoy Kiko -- I don't particularly -- you'll enjoy this one.
