Storyline

Chicago Sun Times copy editor Josie Gellar (25), who was desperate to graduate from perfectionist copy editor to reporter, gets her chance when the goody owner orders the editor to cover the high-school scene by undercover. Josie, who was a frustrated, ridiculed nerd, gets a popular make-over from her drop-out, naturally funny brother Rob Geller. Both siblings find love and joys of youth again. But in Josie's case, it's sensitive bachelor teacher Sam Coulson, who enjoys sophisticated conversation. As the publication deadline approaches, the price of blowing their cover seems ever more daunting, yet inevitable unless she sacrifices her career. Written by KGF Vissers

Goofs

When Josie enters the reggae nightclub, the word "DELLOSER" is stamped on her hand. The top half of the stamp has the word regular the bottom half has the same word upside down. It still reads from left to right but the letters are upside down. Later that night, when Josie falls asleep on her hand, some of the ink from the stamp gets on her forehead. Her forehead says "Loser" - forward and right-side up. If the upper portion of the stamp had transferred, it would have said "Loser" backward. If the lower portion of the stamp had transferred, it would have said "Loser" upside down and backward. See more »

Can so so relate

Very sadly, I can relate to this movie, as I'm 17, and have yet to be kissed, so I really feel for Josie. It's been a while since seeing this film, but to write this review I re-watched it, and remembered everything I loved about it.

Drew Barrymore is a great actress, and this role suited her really well at the time. The chemistry between Sam and Josie was really good, and Michael Vartan was an excellent actor in this.

I loved the storyline too - as i said up there, I could relate, and it's rare you find a film you can completely relate to.

All over - I loved it. 7/10
