Amusing in spots, but an average short

This is a Mister Magoo short from UPA Studios. There will be spoilers ahead:

After a rather unpleasant incident followed by a suggestion that Magoo have his glasses checked, Magoo decides to have his eyes examined. He mistakes a television repair shop for an ophthalmologist/optometrist and the fun begins.

After a few gags dealing with Magoo mistaking things due to his nearsightedness, the main gag starts, that of an exercise instructor Magoo mistakes for a doctor.

Magoo disrobes, does exercises and then, when the station loses the program, Magoo wanders out in his underwear, with predictable results. Eventually, he makes it back into the repair shop, finishes his exercises, gets dressed and leaves, telling the repairman to send him a bill. The short has its moments, but it's average.

The Magoo theatricals are now available from Shout! Factory, which has released a box set with all the theatrical shorts and a Magoo feature film. The set itself is excellent and recommended. This short is worth watching.
