Mansoor Khan after JO JEETA WOHI SIKANDAR and the flop AKELE HUM AKELE TUM returned with JOSH a remake of WEST SIDE STORY

The film was in making for 4 years which shows in Aish's presence which changes at places

The film is devoid of reality but that works for such a film, There also manipulate Goa's places of Panaji and call it Vasco but it's forgiven

The film starts off well in the first few reels, the enmity is well handled and also both sides are shown properly

There isn't much movement in the story in the start but the scenes are well handled and are entertaining

The scene towards the interval when SRK almost kills Chandrachur is well handled

The second half however suffers because the enmity between SRK and Sharad could be more effective, they could be more effective scenes between SRK and Sharad in the second half However the twist before the climax is well handled but the climax seems rushed

Mansoor Khan does a decent job in direction Music is good, SAILARO stands out

SRK in this film tries to play his part differently, he played a goon in the crap RAM JAANE before but in this film he seems at ease playing the ruffian and acts well Aishwarya too does a good job though she jumps and overdoes at times Sharad Kapoor is a surprise, actually his presence front of SRK and that too in such an author backed role is surprising and he leaves up to it, He plays his part superbly Chandrachur too is fantastic in his part, He also is surprisingly given lot of footage in such a big film Priya Gill has no role Sharat Saxena is okay
