Jasper Goes Hunting contains a cameo of a certain wabbit...
Just watched on Google Video the George Pal Puppetoon, Jasper Goes Hunting. Since there are some African-American stereotypes depicted (such as the shanty-houses and some mention of dice playing), this short would probably be unacceptable for showing today. Despite that, this is a very amusing puppet animation about a young boy's daydreaming with a scarecrow about catching a big elephant in the jungle with a cameo of a certain wabbit who was still owned by Leon Schlesinger but would soon be acquired by Warner Bros. (hope the next Looney Tunes box set contains a restored version of the short since the one on Google looks awful). By all means, to all those interested in all things animated-doll or otherwise-and George Pal especially, seek this short out.
