Show Me Love (1998) Poster

(1998)

Trivia

Although set in the Swedish town Åmål, not a single scene was actually shot there. All exteriors were filmed in Trollhättan, almost 100 miles away.
The poster for the film featured quotations from the dialogue, including four-letter words. This caused some controversy, so for Stockholm's subway, special posters were printed with the "worst" quotations left out.
The original script ends with Agnes and Elin walking away holding hands. The final scene in the movie was thought up by the production lead and written by both Lukas Moodyson and Alexandra Dahlström, long after shooting had begun.

The picture of a hand that is on the outside of Agnes's door is in fact a picture of Rebecka Liljeberg's hand, taken when she was a child.

The title of the movie was a phrase director Lukas Moodysson wrote on the first page of his script. Somebody noticed it sounded like a good title and Moodysson used it officially as the movie's title from then on.

The bathroom where Johan and Elin meet during the party was so small the bath tub had to be taken out in order to make room for camera, sound man, and the director.
