Entertaining short about a little girl's search for an answer to her question
This is a UPA one shot cartoon. There will be spoilers ahead:
This short is drawn as if done by a young child, crudely drawn and very effectively so given the premise of the short itself.
A little girl asks her parents, in song, where babies come from. They decide not to tell her the truth, so she starts searching out the answer. She's finally told that they come from "the hospitl".
Since her parents have told her she's going to have a baby brother, she decides to go get him from the "hospitl". This understandably causes some difficulty. She's found and her parents reluctantly explain the facts of life to her (discreetly off camera, of course). All ends well and the close of the short is funny.
This is a musical cartoon and is fairly good. It's included on the Jolly Frolics three disc box set of UPA cartoons and the set is excellent and worth getting. Recommended.
