Australian soap set in a shopping arcade.
This was a failed attempt by Network Ten in Australia to grab a slice of the perennially popular Soap Opera viewing audience. Most notable for its spectacularly short run, it was introduced with much hype only to fall flat on its face.
The characters in the show were proprietors and staff of a shopping arcade- hence the title "Arcade". This show was so cheesy it immediately drew me to it. I recall a budding romance between the characters Norm and Consuela. Norm was a skinny chap and Consuela was a rather large Lady- kind of reminds me of Charles Hawtrey and Hattie Jacques in the Carry On movies.
