Pitiful... it's all I can say.
15 May 2001 | by (North Carolina) – See all my reviews

If the wet sludge that pools at the bottom of a land fill could ever be reincarnated in movie form, "The Ceremony" would be it. Don't be fooled by the great looking special effect shot on the back of the box. The makers of "The Ceremony" apparently shot the fist four minute intro on 35mm film and pulled all of it's screen shots from that. I think the rest of the film was shot on 3/4" U-matic video... with a $10 radio shack microphone... stolen from the salvation army. The "demon-angel" that is released into the world looks like my aunt Clarice hunched over with a toothache. Horrific... horrific is what I thought of the time I was losing as I watched the party of college students blunder around a 2000 square foot home like it was the Biltmore house, lost in the dark and unable to open a freakin door. Pitiful. Just plain pitiful. Not even fun bad... not even bad bad... just pitiful.
