Early every morning, a perfect falsetto disrupts Paul Thomas’ dreams as Magoo, one of his talking African gray parrots, alerts him that it’s time to face the day.
Within minutes, another parrot, Sabrina, and a cockatoo named Murphy are also chiming in, leading Thomas to sigh and reach for his slippers, then smile, knowing that his birds will greet him with friendly squawks and a wisecrack or two.

James Corden loves jamming out to popular songs with famous singers, but admitted it’s not always easy to get the rights to do so on television. So to switch things up, he decided to sing public domain songs with none other than Jamie Foxx. The duo put their own soulful spin on classic songs like “Pop Goes the Weasel,” “Row Row Row Your Boat,” “Bingo” and “Twinkle Twinkle Like Star.” “Is it just me? Because licensing songs for late night TV is expensive, The Late Late Show host James Corden came up with a clever workaround on Thursday night by convincing guest Jamie Foxx to join him in a round of filthy, between-the-sheets covers of some of our most beloved public domain songs. And don't even get us started on "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain" and "B-i-n-g-o."

“Frankly, we blew our budget on catering,” Corden quipped when explaining why they would only be singing public domain songs.

“Sometimes you’re the monkey,” Corden noted. “And sometimes you’re the weasel.”
They then broke into a jazzy rendition of “Pop Goes the Weasel.”
