Pigs is Pigs
This is another in the series of the "Jerry on the Job" short cartoons produced for Bray. It was an immensely popular strip at the time because... well, I don't know and none of my comic-strip-loving friends has ever been able to explain it to me. Usually they open their mouths, look puzzled and close their mouths.
Although the movies were credited to the strip's creator, Walter Hoban, this was "produced" by Gregory La Cava with Walter Lantz doing some of the animation, so that's probably why it seems a bit better than usual. There are a couple of gags early on, but the punch line joke is a bad pun.
Like most of the series, its biggest virtue is that it is very short.
