- Andy Panda attempts to find out if he can catch a woodpecker by putting salt on its tail.
- Andy Panda asks Pop if you can really catch a bird by putting salt on its tail. Pop tells Andy not to bother him only to hear a knocking at the door. The "knocking" is really coming from a woodpecker pecking against their roof. Pop sets out to trap the bird but is no match for its screwiness. He uses a wind-up explosive decoy that the bird falls for but when it explodes, he just feels "betrayed!" After giving Pop a wild ride through the sky, Andy pours salt on his tail and traps it! Two ambulance attendants come to take the bird away but they too are just as looney!—Matt Yorston <george.y@ns.sympatico.ca>
- Andy Panda, reading his schoolbook, asks his daddy if it's true that you can catch a bird by putting salt on his tail. Papa Panda is too busy with his racing form to answer; but the information will presently become very relevant. The knock, knock, knocking they hear is that crazy woodpecker again, putting holes in the roof. Papa Panda grabs his shotgun, determined to take care of the loony bird once and for all. But the woodpecker, with his crazy laugh and manic behavior, is too wily, or maybe just too insane, to get caught that easily.—J. Spurlin
