The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Some flirting.

A group of men follow a woman and want to rape her (though it is not outright said). They make kissing sounds, grab her, and one pulls out a knife. Spider-Man saves her.

In one scene, Mary Jane is caught in the rain and her wet top reveals that she's not wearing a bra (the shape of her nipples can be seen through her top for about 8 seconds, but not clearly and she's still fully clothed). She then kisses Spider-Man very passionately.

One man mentions that a photographer got a picture of Julia Roberts in a thong.

In the wrestling scene, there are a few women wearing very revealing clothes/bikinis.

When Peter goes up to collect his winnings after the Wrestling match there are many pictures of skimpy women on the wall.

Brief kissing is done in the end scene.

Violence & Gore

A man is bitten by a spider which leaves him with a bite mark on his hand

A man experiments on himself with an enhancing chemical vapor, after that he proceeds to go insane and throw a colleague through a glass window to his death.

A man is shot and killed (off-screen) and we see him with a bloody wound in his chest.

A man's wrist is broke and he falls backwards out of a window implying that he dies.

A character flying his glider shoots gunfire at a man in a spacecraft which explodes and kills him. In the same scene, the character on the glider shoots two men from outside a structure which explodes and kills them also.

A man kills some people by throwing a pumpkin bomb at them which turns them into skeletons.

Some fighting is seen throughout this movie between two characters. They include no or sometimes mild amounts of blood.

A man is cut with a throwing object which causes him to bleed a bit.

A man flying his glider attacks two people at different times by firing and crashing through the windows behind them, causing one to have a trauma attack. Blood is on her face.

The ending fight scene between The Green Goblin and Spider-Man is a bit bloody. This especially goes for Spider-man. He is brutally punched and kicked, with part of his mask torn off, cuts and bruises on his face, and blood in his mouth. Very Intense.

A man is impaled in the stomach by his glider's blade weapons. Briefly, his blood spurts out of his wound. Then, blood is seen in his mouth.

The last fight scene is very intense and violent.

Profanity

3/10

Hell is used 4 or 5 times.

Damn is used once

Ass is used about 3 times.

Piss is used once.

Jesus is interjected once.

5 use of crap.

A man takes medial drugs he created to test them, and becomes schizofrenic.

A man is shown drinking alcohol.

Some smoking and drinking.

The death of a close relative is very sad.

The Green Goblin's appearance and his bizarre mask might be unsettling or scary to some very young kids.

A very frightening and a jumpy scene where Norman starts off talking to Harry saying "Last night I was-" and then you hear a very loud sound and in image of Norman with his eyes rolled in the back of his head. which would make anyone jump (regardless of their age).

The Green Goblin, pretending to be a helpless woman in a burning house, lashes out at Spider-man (which will make anyone jump regardless of their age) and punches him in the face, sending him flying into a wall.

A scene culminates where the Green Goblin briefly and suddenly jumps toward the screen. Will frighten younger viewers especially.

The scene where Norman experiments on himself with the enhancing chemical vapor is frightening. After that he looks mad, and he proceeds to throw a colleague through a glass window to his death.

The last fight scene is very intense and violent.
