This show is an odd mixture of soapish elements and the oddities that one might find in ''real life''. The characters aren't your average cardboard Brooke or Thorne, but they are flawed people with annoying habits, making odd choices out of their pathetic nature. To give an example: when housewife Eva discovers that her husband Wiebe is cheating on her, she thinks that love is a too beautiful thing to be ruined by an already existing marriage. The two of them take this new wife in their family as a second wife. What generates some pretty awkward situations due to her manipulative nature and macrobiotic lifestyle. This, and much more in a pretty amusing show that tries to make fun of soaps while being one at the same time. Not very original in 2007; Desperate Housewives and the Dutch equivalent Gooische Vrouwen do exactly the same thing. But hey, fun to watch nevertheless.
