This week, Cult of Chucky made its debut on various formats and platforms—Blu-ray, DVD, VOD, and the rated version is also now available on Netflix—which meant it was the perfect time to post our interview with Mancini here on Daily Dead. Here’s the catch though: what follows ended up being a very spoiler-filled interview at times, just because there’s so much that I’ve long enjoyed about this franchise, and wanted to dig into a lot of different topics with Chucky’s creator while I had the opportunity.
So, if you haven’t had the chance to see Cult of Chucky just yet,
I’ve screamed it before and I’ll pontificate again – Child’s Play is the strongest horror franchise still running, ever created,
The Chucky: Complete 7-Movie Collection will be available October 3rd. Now you can own Chucky: Complete 7-Movie Collection on Blu-ray. We Are Movie Geeks has one copy to give away. All you have to do is leave a comment answering this question: What is your favorite movie in the Chucky series?
The exception to this rule of inconsistency and ever-diminishing returns in serial killer movie franchises seems to be the maniac who may have been the most unlikely to succeed, or certainly to endure, to begin with. He would be Charles Lee Ray (played with customary intensity
The clips come to us courtesy of Bloody Disgusting and, just in case you're really excited about seeing Cult of Chucky, don't worry; there are no spoilers. These clips do, however, give us a very good idea of what to expect in terms of tone and what the asylum setting is going to do for the movie. It's very clear that this entry is going to really get us away from the super corny entries such as Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky.
The news comes courtesy of IGN and, though they didn't have a specific date that Cult of Chucky will be available to stream on Netflix, they do make it clear that it will make its way to the streaming service in October. So it will be

Written and directed by Don Mancini, Cult of Chucky brings back original Child's Play cast member Alex Vincent (Child's Play, Wait Until Spring, Bandini) as Andy Barclay along with Oscar-nominee Jennifer Tilly (Curse of Chucky, Monsters, Inc.) as Chucky's bloodthirsty bride, Tiffany and Fiona Dourif (Messenger,
The Tcl Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles has scrapped plans to host the world premiere of Jeepers Creepers 3 due to threats of protesting. Initially, the theater chain had earmarked September 13th for a back-to-back screening of the original Jeepers Creepers movie, its long-anticipated threequel, along with a Q&A session with the cast and crew – most notably franchise creator and director, Victor Salva. And therein lies the source of controversy.
To cut a long story short, the filmmaker was accused of sexual misconduct with a minor almost two decades ago, and served 15 months in state prison. During that time, many feared (hoped?) The Creeper would never fly again under Salva’s supervision,
The event was scheduled for September 13 at the Tcl Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles and had sold out in a matter of days. Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 3 were to be screened back-to-back with cast members from all three entries in the series in attendance for the event. However, following threat of protest, the management at Tcl felt it was best to cancel the
Every year, horror fans look forward to a new Terror Tram experience at Halloween Horror Nights. And this year promises to be a beast. The Terror Tram has become one of the event's defining traditions. Last year saw Eli Roth unleashing a parade of creepy killer clowns on the back lot. Now, Chucky is ready to bust out his Good Guy army of knife wielding killer doll clones. And it's going to scare the marrow straight out of your brittle bones.

Cult of Chucky review
It was almost thirty years ago that cinema audiences were first introduced to Charles Lee Ray, better known as Chucky. Since then, the tale of the possessed Good Guy doll has unfolded over three decades and six films; now it’s time for lucky number seven – Cult of Chucky.
Tonally the films have shifted over the years. The first three films were your typical late eighties / early nineties video nasties. They were creepy as Hell and were the cause of many bouts of Pediophobia (that’s fear of dolls). The trio of terror followed youngster Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) as he tried to keep his body, and soul, away from the voodoo practising Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif). Then,

Chucky returns to terrorize his human victim, Nica. Meanwhile, the killer doll has some scores to settle with his old enemies, with the help of his former wife.
Sorry Jack – Chucky’s back… again.
The serial killer doll Chucky – who has been terrorising people since 1988 – was given a new lease on life following 2013’s fantastic Curse of Chucky. It was a movie that took Chucky back to his darker roots following the campy Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky, and was well-received by fans and critics. Original creator Don Mancini – who wrote and directed Curse of Chucky – is back again with Cult of Chucky, the seventh entry in this long running franchise. But has he found the same success twice?
