Two's Company, Three's A Crowd......Four's Perverted!
14 August 2003 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

I had myself a few good chuckles while watching LIVE IN, LOVE IN;

some were put there purposefully, most unintentional though,

which is what all great cheesy porn is about!

Basically, director Scotty Fox decided that it would be fun to make a

porn-parody of the popular TV show "Three's Company" which had

ended it's successful run only a few years before. We are given

the same scenario: a young guy pretends to be gay so that he can

live with two girls in their cozy little apartment ----- hilarity ensues.

The twist this time out is that more than just good old sexual

innuendo plays out!

The characters are loosely based on their TV show counterparts:

Robert Bullock plays Jack Ritter (John RITTER + JACK Tripper, get

it?), the supposedly gay roommate to Victoria Paris, as Prissie,

and Tamara Lee, as Jeanette. Oh, how clever. Inexplicably, Peter

North turns up in a gawdy polyester shirt to play their landlord Mr

Hurley! (They didn't even attempt to age him whatsoever!) Other

characters that have no relation to the original TV series are added

in also; Durwood Small (Victoria Paris' real life hubby at the time)

as a dominant Naval Officer , Carol Cummings (in what appears to

be a real bad wig) as an aspiring actress, and Tori Welles as Mr.

Hurley's young hippy-chick lover, Moonchild. Where's Larry, or the

Ropers?!?! For some convoluted reason the entire story is

supposed to take place in 1969, likely just so that some lame

jokes about '69 being "a very good year" can be thrown in here and

there. Now, the fact that all the furniture, most of the clothing, the

actresses' over-teased hairdos, and it being SHOT ON VIDEO say

other wise, well, you just have to use your imagination I guess.

The sex scenes themselves are ok. It doesn't take long for each

couple to get into the action regardless of who pairs up. Pretty

standard fair with some nice looking girls. Bullock does his best

to come off as a poor man's Mike Horner, doling out cheesy lines

in a narration over the story. Small has the best dialogue, all

pertaining to military spoofing, and has his fair turn with the ladies.

The stand-out scene belongs to Peter North (of course!) and Tori

Welles though; Welles switches from a laid-back flower-child to a

ravenous she-beast in the blink of an eye; North almost looks like

he's having trouble keeping up, and she even goes as far as to

break his famous contractual rule ----- she pulls his hair!!!

6/10. Over all, this one is good for a laugh or two ----- or three!
