Storyline

Mr. Bunny is a breeder of fine poultry. A poor negro calls at his home and asks him for some old clothing. Mr. Bunny looks his visitor over and provides him with a complete outfit. After his generosity and charity, our fat friend contentedly reads over the awards by the "Chicken Breeders' Association" of several prizes for his exhibits at the State Fair. The colored man notices the fat and sleek fowl in the enclosure about the grounds. Waiting his chance, he helps himself to one of the birds, finding an ample hiding place in the recess of Bunny's suit. In the morning Bunny discovers the loss of his chickens and calls upon a friend who owns a sharp-scented bloodhound, which he employs to go in pursuit of the thief. The dog scents the foot tracks of the negro, who wears a pair of Bunny's shoes. The hound immediately starts after Bunny, who is obliged to flee for his life through the highways and byways, while the negro and his family enjoy a chicken dinner at Bunny's expense. Hot and ...
