The racial caricatures alone keep this off TV airwaves. The simian appearance of the all-black cast seems egregious even for the time (though the boogie-woogie girls are drawn realistically). There are also racial gags:
*The denizens of Lazy Town are so lazy they fight in slow motion and wait several moments after a mosquito sting to say "ouch."
*A character eats a watermelon to a boogie beat.
*A boy shines a man's feet, rather than his shoes.
It's worth noting that many of the "lazy" gags are drawn from earlier cartoons featuring white hillbillies. See for example
Tex Avery's
A Feud There Was (1938) (1938).
