Charming drama/comedy of a 5 year old girl saving a baby she found from accidental adoption..
29 August 2014 | by (Culpeper, VA) – See all my reviews

While her grandpa is recuperating from an accident, 5-year-old Patsy O'Day (Priscilla Moran) stumbles across an abandoned baby. She "adopts" the kid on the spot, hiding it from the authorities. An evil landlady tries to turn Patsy and the baby over to the orphanage officials, leading to a merry chase throughout the city. SPOILER: The plot is resolved when Patsy kidnaps the baby from the orphanage and tries to return it to where she found it. Among her help mates are a clever dog, a fruit cart pulling horse and a talking bird. Her grandfather Michael (William V. Mong) would have been of help but he was recuperating in a hospital. No Babies Wanted was also released under the title The Baby Mother. Priscilla Moran was a very talented child actress, some might call her a female Jackie Coogan.
