Parents Guide for
Big Daddy (1999) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

At the start a woman, sleeping with a man, gets up. She was wearing bra and her cleavage was visible.

Two of Sonny's lawyer friends are gay, and we see them kiss goodbye at a party and make some flirtatious remarks to each other in other scenes (such as comparing Brad Pitt's body with theirs).

There are two references to testicles.

There are continuous references to Corinne's old job at Hooter's.

Violence & Gore

Sonny puts a stick out in the path of an in-line skater, causing them to trip and fall. Later, Julian, having learned this from Sonny, does the same thing.

Profanity

at least 12 "s" words, 16 asses, 13 hells, 6 damns. A character gives another the finger.

2 men reffer to drug usage as "smoking dope", "puffing the cheeba", "go by the see saw", and "doing mushrooms".

The film contains mild drinking and smoking throughout.

Contains one mild reference to the connection between drinking and acting how you wouldn't normally.
