When a worker at King Yemma's spiritual check-in station is accidentally covered in spiritual waste, he is transformed into a powerful monster named Janempa, who destroys the barrier between the real world and Other World, allowing the dead to walk the Earth. As the living Z Fighters fend off the dead, it is up to Goku, Pikkon, and Vegeta to stop Janempa. Written by page8701
"Dragonball Z Movie 12: The Rebirth of Fusion! Goku and Vegeta" is a must-see for all Dragonball Z fans. Let me tell you why.
The story takes place during the 7 year period Goku spends in the afterlife after Cell's demise. There, Goku participates in the Grand Kai's tournament, where he is pitted against the greatest warriors in the Universe that have ever died. Just as he is about to take on Paikuhan, the strongest of them all, in the final match, something terrible happens. The machine used for cleansing the incoming souls of the evil they contain explodes, resulting in all the evil stored in the machine escaping and infesting the demon that operates the machine. He transforms into a horrible creature, Janemba, and causes the laws of the afterlife to change. The dead come back to life and terrorize the living on Earth. While Goku and Vegeta battle Janemba in the afterlife, Gohan, Trunks and Goten must take care of the dead on Earth.
The movie contains some of the most memorable scenes ever in Dragonball Z. Janemba is a very powerful and intimidating opponent, possessing many incredible abilities that put Goku and Vegeta to the test. He also never speaks (except in the beginning when keeps squeaking "Janemba!"), making him one of the coldest and intimidating villains ever on DBZ. Ultimately, to destroy Janemba, Goku and Vegeta must use the special Fusion Technique to fuse into one being that would be powerful enough to take on Janemba. This goes wrong the first time, resulting in a hilarious match between Janemba and the overly obese Gogeta.
The scenes of Gohan, Goten and Trunks taking on the living dead on Earth are memorable as well, as they face many memorable and familliar villains, such as Hitler, Dracula and even an old DBZ fiend of old in a quick cameo appearance.
Action, humor and animation are all top notch, making DBZ Movie 12 an absolute must-see for all fans. This is one experience you don't want to miss.
