Storyline

Mr. Satan is challenged to a fight by an old rival, and he is taken to an island where the fight is to be held. Accompanying him are Android 18, who is making sure he doesn't skip town before paying the money he owes her for letting him win the World Martial Arts Tournament, and Trunks and Goten, who are stowaways. When they get there they find that the rival doesn't want to fight himself, but rather has created a force of genetically engineered bio-warriors to fight Satan. Unfortunately for everyone involved, one of these bio-warriors was made from the DNA of Broly, and when he is released, all bets are off. Written by page8701

The rusty nail on the Broly coffin
16 August 2015 | by (San Antonio) – See all my reviews

I loved the first Broly movie. Liked the second movie. Very disappointed with the third movie that is basically a long episode trying to be a Broly movie.

Good: Some of the fighting was cool and well as the animation.

Bad: First off, the secondary villains were very weak. They were not funny or threatening. The story in this movie was very weak and while having Mr. Satan be the center of the story is interesting in concept, it lacked fun. The comedy fell flat and the thing felt like an afterthought. Broly himself is basically a sludge monster. It could've been anything else and the movie wouldn't have changed a bit.

Overall, this is a very weak DBZ movie. I like that the secondary characters got a shot to lead the film, but the weak villains, the diminished presence of Broly, the unfunny humor, and the laziness of it all really brought this whole movie down.
