Mike Dawson returns to his home town of Crowley, Texas to recuperate from a nervous breakdown he suffered as a result of his first experience in the Dark World. However, his living nightmare continues when the headless body of Mike's date to the high school reunion is discovered after the couple is seen fighting. Suspected of her murder, Mike is desperate to find her true killer. However, while digging up the dirty little secrets of his neighbors, Mike unwittingly crosses again into the Dark World. In that ghastly parallel-dimension he discovers that his old nemesises, the Ancients, have orchestrated the murder as part of a fiendishly complex plot that not only exacts revenge on Mike, but also will unleash an unspeakably evil horror into our world. a game with a great psychological story
11 May 2006 | by See all my reviews

As a game for that time it was groundbreaking. The use of full motion video, great artwork from Geiger (artist, famous for creating the monster in the Alien) and motion captured actors added a sense of realism in this adventure. What appears to be just a simple sf story ends up being a real psychological thriller. When i finished this game i really was amazed and surprised that a game could achieve this even more so than most of the movies i have seen! Because this story has an ending you would not expect from a game like this! If you get the chance to play this game, do so. It maybe old but overall the game will satisfy you more than most of the thrillers and horror movies made now.
