- Elmer Peabody: You know me and my eyes. Some days I see right and sometimes I can't see, at all.
- Judge: Oh, hello, boys.
- Axel Swenson: What do you want? We're busy.
- Judge: I'm here to see the owner.
- Elmer Peabody: He'll be back in an hour.
- Judge: An hour? Well, I wanted to see him about a plumbing job.
- Axel Swenson: Oh, we got that job, already. Now, go away. We're busy.

- Axel Swenson: Why don't you stop clowning around? We've got work to do.
- Elmer Peabody: Why don't you drive a car out on a bridge and make a left turn?
