I have to correct some information in the post of "Ben Keefe". "...this one comes off as a cross between staged nonsense ("Africa Blood and Guts") and real life strangeness ("Mondo Cane"),..." "Africa, Blood and Guts" is not staged nonsense. It also happens to be a film by the same directors of "Mondo Cane", Gualtero Jacopetti and Franco Prosperi. What "Africa, Blood and Guts" is, is a heavily edited version of "Africa Adio". "Africa Adio" is a wonderful and very serious documentary about the events in Africa as the British left.

"Africa Adio" was edited to show only the violent aspects for release in certain markets under the name "Africa Blood and Guts". It was done without the directors' consents and they were quite angry about it although they had no control over the situation.

"Africa Blood and Guts" is not staged nonsense but a "butchered" cut of a really great documentary.

I do have the same opinion about Kwaheri regarding the strange feel between what was true and what was staged. The narration was very campy and at many times, I suspect did not match the meaning of the actual events shown.
