Spencer Christian is in love with Jacquette, but she chooses to have a sexual experience with an athlete instead. Afterwards, the athlete visits Jacquette's African American female friend to have sex with her as well. While practicing self pleasuring, Spencer Christian runs across an ad for a hypnotherapist who boosts her clients' confidence. The hypnotherapist quickly hypnotizes him but it turns out she uses this to take sexual advantage of him. Meanwhile, Spencer Christian's African American athlete friend comes over to Jacquette's apartment to talk on Spencer Christian's behalf. Mixed combo epic; n.s.g.
29 November 2010 | by (New York, New York) – See all my reviews

There's satisfying sex scenes in CRYSTAL BALL (aka JACQUETTE) but this Richard Mailer effort is pretty perfunctory overall. As usual, it's for Vanessa Del Rio completists.

A guy named Spencer Christian (both fake actor's moniker and character name too) is dismayed that women prefer athletes to his scrawny self. He goes to a hypnotist (Vanessa, styled as a gypsy, sort of), who whips out her crystal ball to hypnotize him. Under her spell his penis grows to a suitable porn-star length, which she deep throats with ease. She also gives Spencer a whirl at her back door.

Meanwhile, his best buddy, a black boxer, is seduced by his would-be girl friend Jacquette (again, both the actress's name and her character's name). He keeps protesting, trying to stick up for his pal Spencer's interests, but to no avail. Mixed combo spoken here.

Jacquette's black teammate on a girls' softball team gets it on with their coach Roger Caine, producing more mixed combo action. I guess if you stretch a point here, Vanessa's sex scenes could be construed as "mixed" too since we have latina/anglo action?

With crystal ball in tow, Spencer seems to get the last laugh by hypnotizing both softballing femmes into a threesome with him, as the theme from TV's "Magnum P.I." plays. Synopsis in IMDb emphasizes a comeuppance at this point, but the DVD-R issued on Vol. 96 of Something Weird's Dragon Art Theatre series runs only 45 minutes long and doesn't match.
