*minor spoilers*

A man travels to California to unravel the mystery surrounding his sister's death. He learns that she had been writing a novel about Satanic worship, and spent a good deal of her time at an old church outside of town. When he begins seeing her in the company of a creepy-looking priest(and with a decidedly bigger and sharper set of chompers than he'd remembered), he goes to the old church and is informed that Satan himself has chosen him and his sister to be wed in unholy matrimony...and become the proud vampire parents of the Antichrist.

"Satan's Black Wedding" is a complete obscurity, a no-budget drive-in item long forgotten by even hardcore horror film fans. That's really too bad, because for all it's technical shortcomings(production values on this are nonexistent), this movie actually delivers in some strange way. It's heavy on macabre atmosphere, and the vampire attack scenes are bloody and surprisingly brutal. There are a few moments here that I can say I actually found to be genuinely scary...and that, to me, shows that "Satan's Black Wedding" is more than just a dismissible schlock film. The music(mostly spare, crunching piano)is quite effective, and a cast of total nobodies performs surprisingly well for something of this type.

All in all, a film most people would consider a piece of total trash...but fans of weird, edgy horror should have a look. 5/10
