Why do a lot of people dislike it?

I've seen a lot of bad reviews for this movie. Yet I can't understand it. I loved this movie from the second I started to watch it. It was creepy and gripping. Good plot, good cast. The only small problem was the lack of character development. The main character, Ann, is in the dark much of the movie. All the watcher knows is that she is the babysitter and loves the little boy a lot and the father a lot more. However it still leaves room for sympathy for her. She's trapped in this apartment, unable to make a sound and with a five year old. The two men realise she is down there and she knows she has to get away somehow. I love the end scene where Ann tries to save the two little boys and herself from two killers.

Good movie.
