The Thirteenth Floor (1999)
Jane Fuller: I fell in love with you before I even met you.
Douglas Hall: How can you love me? I am not even real. You can't fall in love with a dream.
Jane Fuller: You're more real to me than anything I've ever known.
Hannon Fuller: [First lines] Ignorance is bliss. For the first time in my life, I agree.
Detective McBain: I think I made the age-old mistake: Never trust a beautiful woman.
Detective McBain: [after repeatedly informing McBain throughout the film that he doesn't smoke, Hall fishes a cigarette out of his pack and lights it while being interrogated] Man, you're picking up bad habits left and right.
Douglas Hall: Must be the stress.
Detective McBain: Then you'll need a carton.
Detective McBain: [after shooting David and realizing the truth] So, is someone gonna unplug me now?
Detective McBain: Do me a favor, will you? When you get back to wherever it is that you come from, just leave us all the hell alone down here, okay?
Douglas Hall: Of course, we've improved on this model since then, now the players can beat the shit out of, and try to drown one another.
Jason Whitney/Jerry Ashton: If you're thinkin' what I think you're thinkin', don't even think about it.
Douglas Hall: I know the truth.
Jane Fuller: Where are you?
Douglas Hall: You could call it the end of the world.
Jason Whitney/Jerry Ashton: So this is where I was born.
[David, in Douglas' body, shoots Ashton]
Douglas Hall: And this is where you die.
