Sex & Nudity

7/10 A man confronts two men who attempted to rape a young girl.

Woman is shown breast feeding in the first scene, you see a close up of the baby's face and her breast is next to it.

A man asks another man if he's ever had his "shit pushed in", a reference to anal sex.

Three men threaten another man with homosexual advances. It's likely that they're joking but it's not fully clear.

A woman is shown with her buttocks exposed, implying sex. The same woman is also shown fully nude but is in the background - full frontal nudity is still clear - about 1 or 2 seconds long

Profanity: 10/10

211 uses of "fuck", as well as many uses of the racial slur, "nigga." (Its mostly used by black people). Many offensive terms are used, such as "dyke" (When describing a woman who might be a lesbian), "pussy", and "bitch."

Denzel Washington calls Ethan Hawke a "poop butt-ass."

Use of word "Jesus" in vain ("Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain" ).

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: 9/10

The entire film is based on narcotics cops and their interactions with drug dealers and criminals. One character forces another to smoke marijuana (We later find out that its PCP, AKA: "Angel Dust"). After this scene, the character appears to be high for multiple scenes, seeing blurred images and not being able to think or react clearly. Many characters in the film steal, deal or use narcotics; many drug references (The main character of the film is a narcotics officer) to cocaine, marijuana, PCP etc. Characters smoke in multiple scenes of the film (Including the somewhat disturbing, forced inhaling of marijuana, mentioned above); characters drink and offer one another liquor and beer.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: 7/10

There are a few scenes in the story in which the main character is put into dangerous situations and the film makers do a good job of making these scenes very intense for the duration of the film.
