The Jump returned with its highest-ever audience on Sunday evening (February 1), overnight data reveals.

The celebrity competition averaged 2.59 million (11.3%) at 7pm, with an added 242,000 (0.9%) on +1. This is higher than last year's first night overnight audience of 2.30m.

Later, The Hotel gathered 1.18m (4.4%) at 8pm (100k/0.4% on +1), followed by Our Guy in India with 1.99m (8.0%) at 9pm (273k/1.7%).

Coverage of the Super Bowl attracted 665k (9.7%) on average for the first three hours from 10.30pm.

On BBC One, coverage of Novak Djokovic's Australian Open win over Andy Murray scored 3.20m (34.6%) from 8.15am.

In primetime, Countryfile appealed to 7.61m (33.2%) at 7pm, while Call the Midwife topped the night with 8.94m (33.5%) at 8pm. Last Tango in Halifax rose to 6.61m (26.6%) at 9pm for its finale, and Match of the Day 2 scored 2.49m (20.0%) at 10.35pm.

BBC Two's Motorway: Life in the Fast Lane brought in 1.31m (5.7%) at 7pm, followed by the latest Top Gear with 5.34m (20.0%) at 8pm. »
