Jack Reynor To Play Addict-Turned-mvp Josh Hamilton In Baseball Biopic From Casey Affleck

Jack Reynor is likely Hollywood's next biggest star. The young actor can be seen in this weekend's Transformers: Age Of Extinction , and the offers are about to spill over. Credit to Casey Affleck for spotting talent when he sees it, because it looks like Reynor is Affleck's new leading man for a biopic about baseball player Josh Hamilton. Deadline is reporting that Jack Reynor will play Josh Hamilton in a movie written and directed by Casey Affleck. Based upon the memoir Beyond Belief: Finding The Strength To Come Back, which Hamilton co-wrote, this film would tell the story of one man's fight against drug addiction to return to the top of the sport. The guess is, this will focus primarily on Hamilton's early days, since Reynor is only 22, and Hamilton was 27 when he returned from the brink. Josh Hamilton was the first overall pick of the 1999 Major League Baseball draft.

DC reader Steve Lewis dropped us a line via Twitter alerting us that a fellow Godzilla fan who runs the Astounding Beyond Belief blog made an incredible discovery.

We decided to take a look at it for ourselves, and yes, it does appear that the infamous Shobijan may be present and accounted for during a scene around the 30-second mark in the trailer. We've grabbed multiple screenshots from the scene in question and have them for you below.

Adam Lanza, Newtown Shooter, May Have Compared '.Mall Shootings'. To 2009 Domesticated Chimpanzee Attack In Radio Call-In

Adam Lanza, the young man who went on a murderous rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012, may have called into a radio show a year before the massacre to compare the psychology of a “teenage mall shooter” to the chimpanzee named Travis who mauled his owner’s friend in 2009.

Adam Lanza Calls Anarchy Radio

The call, placed into Oregon college radio station Anarchy Radio, was traced to Lanza through an online pseudonym and two friends of his that recognized his voice – despite his attempts to destroy it, reported The New York Daily News. Using the name Greg, Lanza posits to the radio hosts that not much separates someone who seemingly randomly commits mass murder from the chimpanzee that tore up the face of a woman in Connecticut.

“His attack can be seen entirely parallel to the attacks and random acts of violence that you bring up on your show every week,

Church Of Scientology Courted Brad Pitt And Bono, Says Former Member

Church Of Scientology Courted Brad Pitt And Bono, Says Former Member
The Church of Scientology could have looked very different nowadays, if its leaders had their way. According to new reports, Tom Cruise wasn't the only heavyweight courted by the controversial church -- Brad Pitt and U2 frontman Bono were a target, too.

According to RadarOnline, Jenna Miscavige Hill -- who is Scientology leader David Miscavige's niece and a former member of the church -- has knowledge of the two A-listers' relationship to Scientology.

"There's a celebrity strategy and they're targeted for their influence, not their money," Miscavige Hill told RadarOnline in an exclusive interview, expanding on the tell-all memoir she published earlier this year, "Beyond Belief: My Secret Life Inside Scientology and My Harrowing Escape."

Per her account, Pitt got involved through his then-girlfriend, Juliette Lewis, and had even gone so far as taking the "first step" of joining the church.

For more on Brad and Bono's involvement and Jenna Miscavige Hill's insight,

'They Have Been Very Careful Not To Show Him The Dark Side'

'They Have Been Very Careful Not To Show Him The Dark Side'
Tom Cruise is widely known as the Golden Boy of Scientology, but now there's further proof that the "Mission Impossible" actor's ties to the church of Xenu go impossibly deep.

In an exclusive interview with Britain's Daily Mail, former Australian rugby league player Joe Reaiche opens up about his experience with the church of Scientology and why he left it in 2005 after being a member for 27 years. Among other things, he mentions the church's shining star, Cruise.

"Tom and David [Miscavige] are like twins -- they're like two peas in a pod," Reaiche tells the Mail of the actor and the leader of Scientology. "I think Tom he has turned a blind eye to issues with his church [sic]. And they have been very careful not to show him the dark side."

Says Reaiche, "I call Tom the Prince of Darkness -- he's got a warped view of Scientology."

Exactly one year ago this month,

Leah Remini Is 'A Tough Woman,' Says Jenna Miscavige Hill
The niece of the most powerful man in the Church of Scientology is speaking out in support of Leah Remini's decision to leave the church. "From what I understand, she was just fed up with the way she was being treated when she was following church policy," says Jenna Miscavige Hill, who left the church herself in 2005. "She is a tough woman and isn't the type to yield or turn a blind eye to a blatant injustice. People like that don't last too long in Scientology because they aren't easy to control." "The Call" Star Abigail Breslin Uses Honey Boo Boo to Avoid Nightmares, Teases Insane 'August' (Exclusive)

Sitting down to interview Abigail Breslin about her new movie "The Call" is a little surreal, especially if you are still thinking of her as the 10-year-old beauty pageant wannabe from "Little Miss Sunshine." Breslin is now 16 and playing a kidnap victim whose only hope is the cell phone she happens to have in her pocket. She's able to reach 911 operator Halle Berry, but the phone is a "burner" so they can't zero in on her position. What follows is a tense chase as Breslin's character fights to stay alive while Berry and the police try to find her. Diehard horror fan (who knew?) Breslin chatted with Moviefone about watching "Honey Boo Boo" to ward off nightmares, what's "very wrong" with her Wikipedia profile, and why a character we never even see in "The Call" is the real hero of the film. Moviefone: After doing this movie, did you want to hire a bodyguard?

Sir Denis Forman obituary

Dedicated chairman of Granada who championed high-quality popular TV

Sir Denis Forman, who has died aged 95, was a driving force in Granada TV, one of the leaders in the first batch of independent regional commercial television companies, from its beginnings in the mid-1950s through to his lengthy spell as chairman (1974-87). Though scarcely ever named as producer, he was directly responsible for many programmes and ran his favourite series as personal fiefdoms. His greatest achievement in this capacity was The Jewel in the Crown (1984), based upon the Raj Quartet novels by Paul Scott.

Forman threw himself headlong into many other enthusiasms, including atheism, battle drill, Mozart and Scottish country dancing. A large man in every sense, he was affable, eloquent and determined. At Granada's Manchester studios in the early days, the shortest path to lunchtime refreshment was barred by a waist-high wall. Forman would lead the way and, despite
