The concept was that three criminals were forced to work for a secret government organization--ah, or was it? The show took on a "Mission: Impossible"-like format, but it was really souped up and fun, and should have lasted a lot longer.
Three excellent but unknown actors, two guys and a woman, took on the roles of the jewel thief, the computer hacker, and the con artist. Each of the character's skills were properly used for each mission. Veteran actor David Warner perfectly portrayed The Man, a creepy, but subtle guy who sent the Three on their missions. His enigmatic character was a plot twist that gave "Three" the ultimate uniqueness. The three characters actually hated each other, which made for some surprisingly funny banter between them. And there even was a brief moment of sexual tension between Johnathan and Amanda, but had been completely stopped by The Man.
This show was so good, that I went out of my way to watch this show when it was on the WB Monday nights. And just as I started becoming a fan, it disappeared without a trace. What good reason, other than the not-so -new concept, could have gotten this show canceled? I pray for DVD box set, even without a resolution of The Man.
