This film was recently shown on Channel 5 and i found it to be a genuinely moving film.It shows that despite all the horrors of the Holocaust there were people who had such humanitarian ideals that despite the risked and the constant terror they were prepared to risk their life to save the life of another human being notwithstanding the fact that their discovery would assuredly lead to death. What struck me in the first story of the sheer chutzpah of hiding a the child as an alter boy so that everyone would assume that he was a good Catholic.Unfortunately all we can do is dwell on these few cases where people were saved since there were thousands of others who were not and suffered the consequences.
