Pre-Code musical with a wildly over-sexed decadent plot-line!
24 June 2001 | by (Huntington, NY) – See all my reviews

TRIPPING THRU THE TROPICS has a romantic comedy plot-line. Platonic friends (Frank Albertson and Lois January) have to pretend they are in love in order for their fathers to maintain their fortunes (Don't ask how!) They take an ocean voyage to the tropics. The memorable centerpiece of this short film comes when Miss January wants to be near a man she has the hots for. She has to disguise herself as a native girl during a wild ceremonial dance. She has to perform a wild exotic dance, and is practically popping out of her skimpy native outfit, when she is spotted by Mr. Albertson. Mr. A grabs her and instantly kisses the daylights out of her, now this couple is in love. Awwww, ain't that nice?
