Two toy manufacturers fight over market shares. One of them is Jim King whose accountant gives him some precarious ideas on how to avoid paying taxes. King is also after his rival's daughter - and her money. An array of gadgets almost steals the show: miniature submarines and helicopters, egg guns and boomerangs. The last 14 minutes are shot in colour, as seen by a gangster waking up to his first sober morning in years. Written by Markku Kuoppamäki

Spede goes from black and white to color

In Ere Kokkonen's Leikkikalugangsteri (1969) Spede is a toy industrialist named Jim King.Spede also works as the producer and the writer of the movie.Vesku Loiri plays Kamreeri while Simo Salminen is Insinööri Sulo Rantavaara. The female lead, Sylvi Krakström is played by Tamara Lund. Her father is played by Juhani Kumpulainen.Jukka Sipilä plays his servant.Risto Aaltonen plays the part of Gangsteri Nitti.Pirkko Mannola is his girlfriend.Leo Jokela is Etsivä Sirpaleaho. Then there are people like Jyrki Nousiainen, Kalevi Kahra and Jukka Virtanen in the movie.Jaakko Salo has made the music. This movie is funny, like Spede movies usually are. It's hilarious to watch Vesku dancing with that shampooed hair. And him meeting this woman, played by Marja Korhonen. The bank robbing scene is a riot. One interesting thing we see happening in this movie is that it switches from black and white to color. It all happens when Nitti stops drinking, and he sees the world in color. He starts drinking again in the end , and it becomes a black and white movie again.
