Storyline

It is the year 2029: Astronaut Leo Davidson boards a pod cruiser on a Space Station for a "routine" reconnaissance mission. But an abrupt detour through a space time wormhole lands him on a strange planet where talking apes rule over the human race. With the help of a sympathetic chimpanzee activist named Ari and a small band of human rebels, Leo leads the effort to evade the advancing Gorilla Army led by General Thade and his most trusted warrior Attar. Now the race is on to reach a sacred temple within the planet's Forbidden Zone to discover the shocking secrets of mankind's past - and the key to its future. Written by Tim1370

Good fun! I enjoyed it!
23 April 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

It's not good as the original but still a fun ride! I read a lot of bad comments of this movie. A lot of people was expecting the plot like the original. What do you expect, it's a Tim Burton film! It has action, dark humor, some romance, drama, and so on. If you are going to see this film, don't expect it to be like the original. Expect it to be another great Tim Burton film. I had so much fun watching this film but it has some flaws. See it, but do not expect it to be just like the 1968 version. It would be better if there was a sequel. The ending was not as good as I thought it would be. If Tim made a sequel, then the ending would be explained better because it was confusing. So go ahead! See it!
