Welcome rerun of classic series

I'm pleased that talking pictures tv have given viewers the chance to see this series again. It's a mix of fascinating real life murder cases, some relatively well known, others far more obscure. In some instances there was a clear miscarriage of justice, whilst others are far more finely balanced. All of them, though, are intriguing. The dramatisations have stood the test of time well, and it's interesting to see just how many actors who have gone on to find greater fame in later years, appear in this series. In one episode alone we see Amanda Holden, Philip Glenister, and a young Anna Friel.

A wonderful series.

Edward Woodward introduces a series of cases, each of them, where someone died in suspicious circumstances.

How wonderful to get to see this series again, how I longed for a commercial release, bud once again Talking Pictures comes up trumps.

I think this show is the reason for my love of mysteries, murders and real life crimes, aged eleven this became my favourite show, and I've waited many years to see it again, it's held up remarkably well.

The earlier episodes seemed to focus on some of the better known cases, later in the series it details some of the more obscure cases.

Super production values, they used great sets and costumes, and really did focus on making this show look quite excellent.

Some terrific acting, there are several well known faces that you'll recognise and enjoy, look out for the likes of Aidan Gillen, Paul Freeman and Geraldine James.

Great series, 9/10.
