Accurately titled XXX film BEDROOM BEDLAM presents the familiar farce of folks hiding out in the closet or bathroom due to the unexpected arrival of a spouse (or other interested party) interrupting a tryst.
It's ably performed by a familiar roster of vintage NYC porn talent, but not surprisingly this ephemeral effort has no director credited (or any other credits listed).
Tina and Jason Russell are the married couple; when Jason goes to work Tina calls up Bernie (Jeffrey Hurst) while masturbating. Arriving first is the plumber Stanley (Gus Thomas, whose participation in films like this later became an issue after he became a district attorney), who Tina seduces. Slapstick comedy begins when Stanley has to hide upon the arrival of Bernie.
From then on it's silly musical chairs with the cast pretending to be uptight about getting "caught in the act". In a porn context it would be more logical to have an ever-expanding orgy erupt, but the anonymous filmmakers thought farcical running around & hiding would be funny.
Chief point of interest here, beyond the passing cuteness of Tina "cheating" on her real-life husband Jason (when in fact her sex performer career was bringing home the bacon for him) is Georgina Spelvin doing a mousy voice as Jason's lover. Certainly considered the Meryl Streep of porn, I find Spelvin's overacting to be irritating but here she is fairly anonymous in one of innumerable nothing roles essayed the same year she entered the history books in DEVIL IN MISS JONES.
