In the mid-27th century, the Terran Confederation is at war with the felinoid Kilrathi Empire. After destroying a Terran base, the Kilrathi have seized a NAVCOM unit with the hyperspace jump coordinates to Earth. With Terran reinforcements scheduled to arrive two hours after the Kilrathi hit Earth, it falls upon the starfighter carrier TCS Tiger Claw to keep the Kilrathi busy. Written by

However, when the sounding nukes are approaching, distinct sonar-like double pings can be heard, showing the incoming warhead getting closer. A double-ping would mean that an active signal is being sent from the Tiger Claw, bouncing off of the incoming warhead, and then returning to be detected. See more »
I regret to report that all diplomatic avenues with the Kilrathi have been exhausted. It is now clear they have no interest in coexisting with us or any other race. It is my sad duty to inform you that as of 6 A.M. this morning, we are formally at war with the Kilrathi. God help us all.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie after reading the bad prior reviews. It is a good combat science fiction movie. The special effects were really good considering the budget of the film. The acting was decent, and the story was well written. The only problem I had was the poor effects of the Kilrathi, they did not look good at all. Fans of the wing commander games should go see this movie with an open mind. No Mark Hammil, but the movie is not any lesser with him missing. See this film, you will like it. 10/10
