You'll Never Guess Which Disney Theme Park Is Getting Rid of Sleeping Beauty Castle

22 November 2016 2:41 PM, PST | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Disney parks have been going through a number of changes the past few years. In order to make way for the new, many beloved staples of Disneyland and Disney World have ended. People were forced to say goodbye to Disney Dollars, along with rides like the Tower of Terror. Now, in what might be the wildest change we've seen in a while, one park is getting rid of their Sleeping Beauty Castle. You'll recognize it as the castle you see as you walk inside the park. The iconic landmark will be no more at Hong Kong Disneyland so that they may make way for an updated park experience. The company made the announcement via press release, and we're certain the tears of Disney fans could be felt around the world. Okay, maybe it's not »

Love and Murder: You're the Worst's Finale Shakes Up Every Couple on the Show

16 November 2016 8:21 PM, PST | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Season three of You're the Worst has already been quite the roller coaster, but tonight's hour-long finale was like the Tower of Terror.  In the aftermath of S--tstain's wedding last week, all three of the show's main couples were in serious distress. Edgar had abandoned Dorothy to go write sketches, Lindsay had told Paul she had an abortion, and Jimmy and Gretchen unleashed some painful truths about what they were thinking about their relationship.  Tonight, they all had it out, and it's possible that none of the couples survived, despite a marriage proposal that would have had any murder-loving Angeleno's heart aflutter.  Lindsay and Paul are definitely »

13 Halloween TV Specials From the '90s That Scared (and Scarred) Us

17 October 2016 4:45 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Terrifying TV shows might be en vogue right now, but we're convinced they wouldn't be half as good as they are if Halloween TV specials from the '90s didn't pave the way. Ok, Ok - that might be pushing it (the connections between Frasier and The Walking Dead are few and far between, we admit). But there's something about reminiscing about those sometimes-scary, sometimes-funny, sometimes-bizarre hours of television that always leaves us with a craving for candy corn. From Goosebumps to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, we've rounded up our favorites, but if you're in the mood for a real scare, check out the best horror movies streaming on Netflix this month. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow: Beloved Childhood Classic or Terrifying Horror Cartoon?

13 October 2016 4:20 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

I have all kinds of warm and fuzzy Halloween memories from my childhood, even though the holiday is, by nature, based on scary things. Mostly I remember fondly all of my costumes as a kid, going trick-or-treating with my sisters, and, in the days after, boosting each other up to get our candy bags off the shelf in my mom's closet where she tried to keep them from us. There is one tradition that we had, however, that was not really all that cool and probably helped seed my adult hatred of horror movies: we watched Disney's "animated classic" The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It seems innocent enough - the 1949 film is based on Washington Irving's early American folk tale, and good ol' Bing Crosby sings throughout. Until Ichabod Crane is murdered on his way home from a Halloween party by a ghoul who would in no way be »

Disney has been making a lot of sad changes to their theme parks lately, but enough of that depressing stuff. Sure they may have messed with the Tower of Terror and most recently took away the iconic Main Street Electrical Parade, but they totally make up for it with this news. Disney World Just Said Goodbye to One of the Most Historic Events In the Park

10 October 2016 3:37 PM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Disney theme parks have really been changing things up in the past few years. First, they took away Disney Dollars; then it was the Tower of Terror, and now it's one of the most iconic parades in the park. Sad to say, they're doing away with the historic Main Street Electrical Parade. Disney fans know this is a big deal, simply because of how long it's been around. It first started in the '70s, with light-up floats including Alice In Wonderland, Dumbo's Circus, "It's a Small World," and Cinderella's Ball, according to Wdw News Today. If you've seen it in person or even just in pictures, you know it's the epic parade with floats covered in Christmas lights. Back before it began, »

16 Moments From the Tower of Terror Movie That Sent Your Happiness Plummeting to the Basement

5 October 2016 2:25 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

A lot of people know Tower of Terror as one of Disney's most iconic rides (Rip to the Disneyland one), but the creepy story behind it is what really makes us want to scream. The ride was originally based off of numerous episodes of The Twilight Zone, and Disney stayed pretty true to the tale when they decided to make the movie in 1997. The story follows Buzzy Crocker (Steve Guttenberg), an out-of-work newspaper editor whose stories attract the attention of an old woman named Abigail Gregory. Abigail claims that she witnessed an incident at the Hollywood Tower Hotel in 1939 when five guests - singer Carolyn Crosson, her boyfriend Gilbert London, child actress Sally Shine, her nanny Emeline Partridge, and bellhop Dewey Todd - were killed when the elevator they were riding in while on their way to a party at the hotel's Tip Top Club plummeted to the basement. With a movie like 'Tomorrowland,' it's a good thing 'Space Mountain' got scrapped for 'Star Wars'

14 September 2016 12:17 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

It was four short years ago that Disney tightened their grip on our collective pop culture nostalgia. Having already secured Marvel Entertainment, the House of Mouse turned their all-seeing eye to Lucasfilm. On October 30, 2012 the acquisition announcement was made and the rest is now history. At the time fans were leery of the purchase, worried that Star Wars would become sanitized to bring in the all-mighty dollar of the preschool set. But while those fears have since been laid to rest with the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the merger wasn’t without its hiccups and casualties. One of them being an untitled sci-fi project by Max Landis, who was riding high off on the buzz Chronicle back in early 2012. First reported by Variety in January of 2012, the space adventure was axed as being “too similar” once they had Star Wars in their pocket. SlashFilm brought this tidbit »

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has wrapped production and fans are wondering what James Gunn's next project might be. Some are even tempting him with DC Comics properties, and he's revealed he's very open to the idea. Recently he spoke on the San Diego Comic-Con footage from his upcoming Marvel release and why they chose not to release it to the public. But in a recent open Q&A on his Facebook page, the director got into all sorts of things. He addressed recent box office news regarding Suicide Squad's record-breaking opening: It beat us first weekend. We almost made more money second weekend. Among the many political leaders and ideals alluded to at the Democratic National Convention this week, one stood out as something of a non sequitur: the “Police Academy” movies. Former President Bill Clinton’s love of the comedy franchise came out during the DNC, which of course led to instant chatter on Twitter and even a callback in a later speech. Steve Guttenberg, one of the series’ stars, is pretty stoked: “We are all thrilled that both Bill and Chelsea let the secret out,” he wrote yesterday on CNN.
