Storyline

Dorian Westmore accepts an aspirin from a total stranger, Inez Palmer. She is distracted and fails to take it, but later gives it to her wealthy uncle who dies as the aspirin was poisoned. She is tried and convicted and her fiance, Peter Kane, tells her attorney, J. T. Vickers, that he is going to prove her innocence. Inez, reading about the trial and recognizing Dorian as the lady she gave to aspirin to, realizes that it was meant for her from the man she had been blackmailing, J. T. Vickers. Just a Sam Nawfield's are gem

I never miss a Sam Newfild film, except maybe some of his early westerns, they all look like the same, when you have seen, you have seen all of them. I prefer his crime, adventure and sci fi films. Even if most of them are corny, lousy at the most, but amusing. My best from him are APOLOGY FOR MURDER, MOTOR PATROL, MURDER IS MY BUSINESS..

This one is a crime feature, with some accents of comedy, that I dislike. I won't be able to describe the plot, it's too usual, a gal suspected to poison people, gangsters and the lead who intend to save the girl from suspicion. Tedious, but not charmless. The copy was from a 16mm print and not from a TCM taping off.

Not the best Sam Newfield ever, far from that.
