If you can overlook the constant errors in continuity, namely, the fact that the actress playing Janie wears a tremendously over-sized blonde wig in some scenes, while in others she sports her own blonde hair, and the fact that when Janie is clothed the clothes sometimes change back and forth from scene to scene, you will probably enjoy the sexploits of "Janie". Nobody with any sense is going to watch this film for any other reason than to recapture those sick seventies thrills that are long gone and now only available on video and discs that did not exist in the seventies. Lead actress Mary Jane Carpenter not only looks great in her red schoolgirl outfit with white boots, her acting during the film's many murder scenes is quite good, and she is in fact better than she needs to be for a film of this type -- she truly looks and acts totally psychotic. This alone gives the film an edge over similar fare of its day in that the acting is convincing enough that it helps the viewer to overlook the film's numerous shortcomings. And just running slightly over one hour, "Janie" does not overstay her nutty welcome.
"Janie" is a perfect choice for company for those who love the sick yesterday of 70's exploitation cinema.
