Weird little film, 30 August 2003

In this film a bunch of annoying yuppies turn up for a barbeque party, and it becomes clear that something is not right. Jack Scalia is a complete nutcase (think Robert Forster in American Perfeckt), while C. Thomas Howell (always good to see) is in a situation that reminded me of The Hitcher. Also stars the under-used Erika Eleniak and the under-rated James Russo. Well worth a watch for a film that might have been set in real time (the whole thing happens over an afternoon). All in all this is a gem of a weird film, and the actors all seem to be having lots of fun. Also worth seeing is the end title sequence which is made up from deleted scenes and bloopers.
