Ryan To Reunite with Hanks?

13 May 2004 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Former Hollywood sweetheart Meg Ryan is looking to team up with old co-star Tom Hanks to help her secure a hit. Ryan's recent film releases In The Cut and Against The Ropes have failed to match her 80s and 90s successes Sleepless In Seattle, When A Man Loves A Woman and When Harry Met Sally. Ryan and Hanks' pairing has always guaranteed a box office hit - they first shared the screen in 1990's Joe Versus The Volcano, followed by 1993's rom-com Sleepless In Seattle and 1998's You've Got Mail. According to British magazine Now, Ryan has penned a screenplay Somewhere In Time for herself and Hanks, about two fortysomethings who are married to other people, but ultimately fall in love with each other. If all goes to plan, the film is expected to go into production next year after Hanks has finished making murder drama A Cold Case and Ryan completes the Cuban romance Papa. »
