His career clearly on the wane, porn pioneer Gerard Damiano still managed to provide a modicum of quality in SLIGHTLY USED, a tongue in cheek look at prostitution. Able cast makes this typically '80s video watchable.
Sharon Kane runs a brothel, with her girls Ona Zee, Gina Gianetti and Tiffany Storm satisfying loyal customers. However, at the end of the lengthy opening sequence cross-cutting between the girls at work one of their Johns -Mr. Brown (Buddy Love) dies in the sack. Apparently the exertion was too much for him.
Enter a surprisingly kindly police lieutenant (played lightly by Eric Edwards), who informs Kane that he's from homicide, not vice, so she has nothing to worry about. Because of the untimely death he does suggest that she lay low for a while, so Cain packs up with her girls for an impromptu vacation at a lovely lakeside retreat.
Not on the job at the moment, the gals expect to be serviced, so they call for repairmen as well as call boys from Acme Male Modeling, run by Mr. Acme (Robert Bullock, sporting a British accent). Even a pizza girl (Tanya Foxx) shows up for a 3-way.
Pic ends with the return of Edwards who is romantically inclined towards Kain, cuing a happy ending.
This sort of fluff seems a step down for Damiano, but recall that he originally came to fame directing nonsense like DEEP THROAT (hardly great cinema despite it breakthrough status) and MEATBALL. Photography by Ralph Oshiro is excellent and the sex scenes are presented with a sharpness (now on DVD) more akin to modern HDTV than the blurrovision one sees on post '80s videos..
