Yet another soft-core porn thriller, this one is many times below par, almost completely lacking a sense of humour, entertainment or a slight air of eroticism.
There's a rubbish story in there somewhere, about two sisters who 'Inherit' a beach-front bar after their Uncle dies. However, the bar is riddled in a history of debts and various financial trouble, giving the sisters little option but to sell up.... ...Unless, of course, they can find a way of raising enough Cash. However, a local pair of property investors, desperate for them to sell the little property, have a series of plans in mind for the dumb blondes.
I don't actually dislike 'These sort' of films. They can be genuinely funny, occasionally entertaining, and, shockingly enough, they can very infrequently be downright imaginative and thoughtful (See "Cyberella"). "Pleasure in Paradise" is neither of these things. Rather than being a cheap movie centring around eroticism and sexuality, "Pleasure in Paradise" has sex, sex and more sex centred around little else. It throws in a sex scene wherever it can (Sometimes in the most baffling of circumstances), and they're never particularly pleasant.
It's a poorly made film, and sometimes looks as though it's been shot on a camcorder. The acting is appalling, and the filmmakers have made little or no attempt to keep the viewer entertained with the just-about-passable story. The music is pathetic; it sounds like the score for a hard core porn movie and never suits the atmosphere of the picture. A rubbish film.
