Nikki Arizona's character watched the sales and went to big box retailers just to see the people buying things. She followed people around with carts as if she was lost in a hedge maze. She stood in line at Tom Byron's haberdashery with a box of screws she didn't need just to hear the running commentary of some man in a leather jacket to his madras-skirted counterpart about the benefit of installing an ornamental wishing well rimmed with pictures of Dallas instead of a carp pond for the next leg of their great-leap-forward front yard development plan. Jessica James's character bought all her household cleaning supplies in one large bucket and prepared ridiculously diluted concentrations to spare the Krista Maze's character from her various chores. Sometimes she would take a ride to the card catalog cabinet set up in the back room with clearance items, like cartridge fuses and anything else Vince Voyeur's character would sell her. She never bought anything from the table.
